Welcome to the Jakes Gerwel Fellowship!

We are delighted to announce our continued partnership with the Jakes Gerwel Fellowship. Elevate will be working with JGF to support the Candidate Fellows on their Scholarship Program.
​
Jakes Gerwel Fellowship is a full university scholarship that provides extensive mentoring and leadership development for top learners with a passion for teaching and education. They identify high potential students who, through financial support, high quality teacher education and professional induction, become expert teachers, educational leaders and social entrepreneurs who will lead system change to achieve quality education for all learners.

As part of the partnership Elevate will be running a study skills program to support the Candidate Fellows in their own studies, as well as to help them to mentor their future students! We look forward to supporting the amazing work that the team do at the Jakes Gerwel Fellowship.

Welcome to the Rupert Education Foundation!
Elevate is extremely pleased to announce that we will again be supporting the fantastic work of the Rupert Education Foundation in 2022 through the Franschhoek Schools Project.
​
The Rupert Education Foundation supports several education initiatives designed to uplift and support learners across South Africa. The Franschhoek Schools Project works with schools in the Franschhoek region to develop and support teachers; provide nutritional feeding; provide psycho-social and academic support for learners; as well as to support schools in achieving the aims set out in their School Improvement Plans.
​
Elevate will be supporting 7 schools in the Franschhoek region by running study skills workshops for learners to teach them effective study techniques and independent learning strategies. Elevate will also be working with the teachers to provide them with best practice strategies to implement the skills with learners in their classroom. Workshops will also be run for parents and guardians to assist them in supporting the learners at home.

We are very excited to have the opportunity to support the Rupert Education Foundation again in 2022!

Welcome to Afrika Tikkun

Welcome to Afrika Tikkun!

We are extremely excited to be working with Afrika Tikkun again in 2022. Elevate will be working with learners, as well as their parents & guardians, at 5 of Afrika Tikkun’s centres in Orange Farm; Alexandra; Braamfontein; Diepsloot; and Mfuleni.
​
Afrika Tikkun grows, nurtures, and establishes young lives from cradle to career through providing sustainable opportunities. Their focus is to empower young people through partner contributions, and in doing so to combat poor living and education standards.
Elevate will be running three study skills workshops for Grade 10 – 12 learners at the 5 centres. These workshops will focus on study skills, time management, exam preparation, and stress management. Learners will have access to Elevate’s online study skills platform containing videos and activities to put the skills into practice. They will also receive access to the Student Portal which includes video tips, downloadable planners and templates, and past papers for every subject. Elevate will also run workshops for the parents & guardians of the learners, to equip them with skills to reinforce the study habits at home.
